A phenomenal GHS Pre-Launch Kickoff in the Philippines on August 30, attracted over 10,000 people. They enjoyed the 4-hour, unprecedented, historical event which brought the GHS total enrollment in the Philippines to 21,000 members. It was held at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, Philippines.

Over ten thousand members and their guests who came from great distances—many of whom drove eight to ten hours or more to get there—jammed the Astrodome and became part of an unprecedented historical event.

The audience was presented the ”WWW” program that will soon be officially launched worldwide. The attendees were also treated to an exciting and professionally staged entertainment of music and dance, filled with patriotic and spiritual message as well as symbolism of hope and thanksgiving with the theme of “Victory Over Poverty!”

The senior officers of the Golden Eagles Academy and the Glowing Heart Society had a chance to be introduced and to speak to a very enthusiastic crowd.

The historical moment came when the chairman, Buddy Reyes, led everyone to recite the Glowing Heart Society Membership Oath, followed by the powerful DECLARATION of the society’s existence and mission.

T H E   D E C L A R A T I O N :
On this, the 30th day of August in the year of our Lord 2008, we the members of the Glowing Heart Society who are also students of the Golden Eagles Academy, hereby declare to the whole world and the universe, the existence, the presence, and the mission of this eminent, benevolent and exalted assemblage known as the Glowing Heart Society. We declare that our mission is to make this planet a better place by improving our world, one person at a time. We declare to help wipe out poverty and financial distress from the lives of people and, through our selfless service, to learn the fullness and greatness of God's love. We also declare to persevere in allowing and encouraging each of our hearts to glow as love distribution centers of the world and instruments of harmony and peace. This declaration that we bind here on earth is also bound in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The most emotional moment was when the chairman said, “According to Eleanor Roosevelt, rather than cursing the dark, it is better to light one candle. Our world is covered with darkness. Darkness of poverty, violence, ignorance and greed. Let us wipe them out with the light of love from our glowing hearts. Let us now light up the world!”

That was the signal for everyone to light each others candle and suddenly, a moving “sea” of light slowly engulfed the whole astrodome with people standing up with outstretched hands and each one holding a lit candle and teary-eyed as everyone sang “God Bless the Philippines,” which described the glowing light. It was a very touching scene specially when the house lights were dimmed and the 10,000 lit candles looked like thousands of bright stars floating all around the galaxy.
